Guess what? It is Christmas again. That is no surprise to anyone. But what is the effect of the birth of Jesus? I am the result. I am saved and thankful. That is the direct result of Jesus’ birth. The gift of eternity, peace that passes all understanding, joy unspeakable, and abundant love. Those are the results of the birth.

I am blessed with the most wonderful family anyone could ever have. My family includes our friends that work at Sanctuary Family Farms. God has given the gifts of knowledge and workmanship; there is nothing we cannot do with these gifts. Our family is talented, and each person has limitless abilities. When you add to that a great work ethic, purpose, and destiny, it becomes miraculous.

The gifts of love and compassion that they demonstrate to the people they minister to each week is amazing. For every hour we spend ministering with people face-to-face, we spend ten times planting, growing, and harvesting the food we give. It is amazing. They really care about the well-being of all the families.

The other gifts are the grandchildren becoming born again as well as growing in wisdom and knowledge of the Word that would astound most Christians. All the cousins actually like and love one another, and the older ones take care of the younger ones.

I could go on and on about each of their various talents. The greatest thing about our family is that they truly love Jesus. We know what the babe born in the manger truly, deeply loves us. So today, the Christmas spirit lives all year round in them – the giving, the loving, the caring and sharing, and it can be so with you and your family if the center of your existence, is Jesus Christ.

So, Merry Christmas to Sarah, my wife and chief cook; Chris, my son; Alisa, my bread-making daughter; Jeremiah, my son; Kati, my bookkeeping daughter; Lee, my son; Ky, my daughter and resident builder, medic, etcetera; to Kelli, our cattle expert and dear friend; to Jill, our expert on fruit trees and a great friend; and to Dan our very talented friend. And now, Merry Christmas to the best grandchildren in the world Michaela, Rebekah, Benjamin, Samuel, Eli, Kerah, Joseph, and Erin. You are truly outstanding individuals, and I’m thankful that Jesus is our leader, guide, provider, shelter, our sanctuary.

Merry Christmas, and remember to pray for the Christians in the Middle East.
