Nana loves indulging those she loves with food, so when Pa was diagnosed with diabetes, she began to get more creative with her sweet indulgences. When Pa has a craving for something sweet, this is a frequently used recipe. Nana and the kids share a bowl as well.
Ingredients
- 5-ounce box of sugar free vanilla pudding
- 2 cups 2% milk
- 8-ounce carton of Cool Whip Sugar Free
- 7 ounces of sugar free shortbread cookies
- 2 to 3 bananas
Instructions
- Mix pudding with milk using a wire whisk. Stir until pudding is smooth and thick.
- Fold Cool Whip into pudding.
- Layer cookies in bottom of a 9×9 dish.
- Top the cookies with half of the sliced bananas.
- Cover the bananas with half of the pudding.
- Repeat the layers, then chill.
