In sight of Golgotha is a small cemetery garden.
A stone stands guard over the place Jesus was buried.
–
In the garden, is a stone tomb.
It was a rich man’s, to a preacher he gave.
If you go close, you can see inside.
Stone is moved, nothing to hide.
–
Some say that He was a king.
But look, here is the thing.
He never raised an army.
He was friend of Roman and Jew.
–
He never dressed in fine clothes or a crown
And had old sandals for shoes.
His purpose was people – to bring them home.
He said to His Father’s throne.
–
Some said He wanted to destroy the law.
But law alone has a fatal flaw.
Without faith, no one can be eternally blessed and free.
The religious said, “We are glad He is dead.
We can hide in our lies. We have nothing to dread.”
–
Do you really think in that cold stone tomb the righteous would lie?
Once the stone wedged into place,
the Father said, “Son, arise by my grace.”
His eyes flickered.
His heart pumped life.
–
Smiling as He unwrapped the cloth
that had bound Him in death and strife.
“Father, I am coming home
Having finished my fate.
There is now in heaven for all a wide-open gate.”
–
Life knows no bounds and accepts no retreat.
From the heart of Jesus, all is sweet.
From the horrors of the tomb,
the flowers of springtime will bloom.
Nothing could hold Him in that tomb.

When discussing this Easter poem, Pa teaches on how to show the personableness of God when ministering to others. First, we must believe.
