Well, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that we are devolving, going away from the high standards our forefathers set. I believe we are all slipping into the belief that our children, the next generation should have it better, easier, less challenging, and have ‘no losers.’ The philosophy is that they will face a world where they can put in less effort with more results. Folks, our empire is dying; it is at the edge of the abyss. Happy days are gone-gone-gone. What are you doing to yourself and your kids except guaranteeing failure and destruction? Why?
Hard times create strong men.
Strong men create good times.
Good times create weak men.
Weak men create hard times.
I look at functional adults and ask, “How did you become dumber than a clod?” I know your heart is right, but you’re sitting on your brain. “But Jesus won’t let that happen to me, because I believe.” What in heaven’s name are you believing? Your own lust of the flesh or in modern language – “bull.”
Ask Paul or Jesus.
“Hey Jesus, because you suffered, we will not have to, right? Jesus, thank you for saving me from persecution.”
“Paul, you gave up everything you had worked for in the world and called it dung or poop. You lost it all for the knowledge of Jesus just so I can stay in the world and chase their approval. Thank you, Paul.”
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
– 2 Timothy 3:12
I had an acquaintance, fellow preacher, who told me that he had greater faith than Paul, because he could ‘name it and claim it.’ He thought he would never suffer for any reason or for anything like Paul suffered. Yes sir, God Walmart. I just go to the Jesus Mart and get what I want without paying a dime. Jesus paid it all. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. So, this mouth of lies called himself a preacher and wore a toupee or wig. So, I’m thinking if you have the faith to move mountains, why don’t you grow hair, you hairless imposter?
You say, “Pa, you’re so mean. Well, I read that the truth shall set you free (John 8:32), but my experience is at first it can make you miserable. So expect tribulation and persecution. Expect some death as Christians are dying daily for Jesus’ name in this world. All the 12 disciples of Jesus died a martyr’s death except John.
But you say that we must obey authority? After Peter and John were beaten and told not to preach the name of Jesus at risk of death, they left singing and praising Jesus’ name, and they walked straight to the temple and started preaching again. The same Sanhedrin, Jewish courts of the time, that had killed Jesus were the ones threatening their deaths. Some say they should have submitted to the authority over them. Grow up and listen. If you fear men, you cannot serve God. Read about the high priest at that time; Caiaphas was illegitimate.
“But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”
– Matthew 10:33
Okay to summarize, think about what made brave men and women, people who were self-sacrificing: the Spartans, the Persians, the Indians. The early settlers sent their children into the wilderness to face the challenges of survival, to determine if they could endure. They came back with wisdom, responsibility, confidence, God-dependence, and knowing who they were and the purpose they had.
People tell me that I should send little boys and girls off to watch drag queens, so they can come back confused little ‘its.’ I say confuse a child as to what God made them to be, and you deserve an eternity in hell. Wow, if what I have said offends you, stop calling yourself a believer in Jesus. You believe in your own ignorance. Have a happy day.
“It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.”
– Luke 17:2
