Pastor Mike, Dad, Pa, . . . whatever you call him shows the relationship that you have with him.  Over the years, Pa has carried out the mission that Christ gave him when he first called him to the ministry, “Tell them that I love them.”  As a result, he’s been instrumental in helping to heal people through God’s love, but the ministry that has probably given him the most return on his love investment has been his family.

Mike and Sarah have been married for more than 50 years now and raised two sons, Christopher and Jeremiah.  Later in life, they adopted their third son, Lee, and all three boys are now guiding their families in the Christian faith.  Since retiring from pastoring a church, these blogs are the result of Pa and the family he’s created in his current ministry wanting to share our life with others in hopes that they will serve Christ as well.

If you want to understand our thoughts behind a blog, get to know the author more, or you’d just rather listen to us, join us on YouTube where we read our blogs, then discuss them with another member of the family, usually Pa.  Trials and Triumphs is also on YouTube.

We also share daily Bible verses on YouTube that are available through phone calls if you contact us.  These daily verses, and the original commentary, are shared by each member of our farm family from the youngest child to the eldest leader.  We pray that the thoughts and prayers that go into preparing these verses and blogs touch you with God’s truth and love, and we appreciate feedback and prayer requests.

Hello everyone. To those who don’t know me, I’m Joseph. To those who truly know me, I’m Jojo, Josephy, Frank; when I’m in trouble, and most frequently (and my favorite), I’m Chaka. If you don’t get the reference, then I..... Read More

Around the Supper Table #21 – Sanctuary: A Place of Safety

Some years ago, a psychiatrist created a little test to determine people’s well-being. It was 4 sentences that describe people in various states of mental health: I’m OK, you’re OK. I’m not OK, you’re OK. I’m OK, you’re not OK...... Read More

I learned pretty quickly that there would be problems attending the Narcissists Anonymous meetings—us narcissists just can’t keep anonymous. The chapter quickly folded. I’m Dan, married to Jill, who I met at the Chi Alpha Christian ministry in college and..... Read More

Around the Supper Table #19 – Kingdom of God is Eternal

Good morning. Well, it is less than 500 hours until the presidential election. I believe that is weighing heavily on almost everyone’s mind. We hope “our guy” wins. Many people think that if “their guy” doesn’t win, then the nation..... Read More
