Around the Supper Table

We gather around our supper table daily to share with family. Not only do we enjoy the hugs and laughter, but it gives us an opportunity to share our journey with each other so that we can strengthen and encourage one another.

We have created this blog in hopes that our struggles, and sometimes revelations, can help you. We know that life can be difficult, but it is only through Him that we “live, and move, and have our being . . .” as stated in Acts 17:28. He hasn’t taken our struggle from us, but He has given us purpose in our struggles that we may help each other. We appreciate feedback and prayer requests.

In Matthew 11:28-30 it reminds us to, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Around the Supper Table #37 – What is Your Bias?

Paul said by the foolishness of preaching, men are called to salvation. He did not mean the preaching was foolish, nor that what was preached was foolish, only that trying to persuade men about eternal life was the work of..... Read More

Around the Supper Table #36 – Current Events are Irrelevant

Why do we follow the news of the day? For some it can cause anxiety, for others it causes peace . . . temporarily. For we all know, the news of the day doesn't go our way. If everyone can..... Read More

Around the Supper Table #35 – Divided House

Mark 3:25 tells us that, “And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” God’s words and principles are always accurate and never wrong. Our house is our country, and it will not stand as it exists..... Read More

Around the Supper Table #34 – Tribe

Over the last year we have seen a major turn in the way our society functions. We have seen people isolated from each other and dying without family by their side. We have seen a hardening of the divide between..... Read More

Around the Supper Table #33 – If Good Men do Nothing

Let me start by saying I hate violence. I believe God hates violence. God would have spared Sodom and Gomorrah had there been just ten righteous men. There were not, so ultimate destruction was rained down on these two cities.  God’s..... Read More

Around the Supper Table #32 – Just Common Action

Many years ago, I saw a patient who had a very horrible childhood. Seems that her parents were involved in the occult. When I say involved, I mean practicing witch and warlock involvement. They held ritual ceremonies, and led their..... Read More
